The Head Housekeeper is responsible for the interior upkeep of all buildings across the employer's properties, ensuring they are ready at all times to receive the owners, their children, their families and their guests. The Head Housekeeper is responsible for the Housekeeping team and the linen room.
Responsabilities
Management
- Day-to-day organization and coordination of all housekeeping teams
- Manages the team's schedules
- Hands-on team management: briefings, service meetings, appraisal interviews, rewards and sanctions
- Drafts and implements procedures for the role
- Reports regularly to the House Manager
- Trains the teams across all residences
- When travelling abroad, takes charge of the housekeeping organization of the house
Indoor work
- Cleaning: daily responsibility for the cleanliness and order of the homes
- Laundry: regularly cleaned, washed, ironed, stored and maintained
- Bedrooms: prepares bedrooms and bathrooms with care including turndown service
- Luggage: prepares the family's luggage for travel
- Wardrobe: oversees the upkeep and marking of the whole family's wardrobe
- Flowers: manages arrangement
- Purchasing: draws up the list of cleaning products needed and places orders
