Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Gouvernante to join our team in a hotel in Gstaad, Switzerland. The Gouvernante will play a critical role in maintaining the hotel's reputation for exceptional service and immaculate facilities. This is a full-time position that offers the opportunity to work in a prestigious, human-sized property in one of Switzerland's most exclusive destinations.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise a team of Room Attendants, Laundry Staff, and Floor Staff.
  • Ensure impeccable maintenance of suites, residences, and common areas throughout the establishment.
  • Coordinate and oversee the work of Room Attendants.
  • Conduct inspections of suites and residences upon guest arrivals (cleanliness, welcome standards, amenities, VIP, etc.) and departures.
  • Manage equipment, bedding, inventory, carts, and minibars.
  • Handle scheduling based on the establishment's occupancy rate.
  • Train Housekeeping teams in the establishment's procedures and standards.
  • Manage unexpected situations in a reactive and professional manner.
  • Ensure optimal customer satisfaction.
  • Coordinate Housekeeping work with other hotel departments.

Requirements
  • Higher education in hotel management with a specialization in accommodation.
  • Proven experience in a similar role in luxury hospitality.
  • Fluent in French and English - a third language is a plus.
  • Broad general knowledge and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Rigorous, dynamic, and organized.
  • Attention to detail and complete autonomy.
  • Perfect understanding of the expectations and requirements of high-end clientele.
  • Ability to manage priorities and urgent customer requests.
  • Versatile, flexible, and available for customers.
